jev-rules

Scores your standing Claude Code instructions against each prompt and delivers only the ones Jev picks, once per session rather than per message. Ships a pane that shows which rules were chosen.

Checked, not fully reviewed

A Claude Code plugin that shows Claude only the standing rules relevant to each prompt. Checked, not fully reviewed: tests, and what each prompt sends.

Good for

  • Claude Code users with a long CLAUDE.md of rules that apply only some of the time

Watch out for

  • Every prompt, up to 24,000 characters, goes to TypeSafe or Vercel AI Gateway
  • The endpoint is fixed; there is no way to point it at another server

Tested Oct 4, 2026 at a2b0dd3cac3a · Node 24 in Docker; its 131 tests, and a read of its hooks

Checked, not fully reviewed. We ran its 131 tests — all pass — and read its hooks. No Jev calls.

Standing instructions pile up: test the payment code, use British spelling, follow the deploy checklist. jev-rules asks, per prompt, which of them apply, and injects only those, with a rules pane showing what was picked. On an edit it asks again about the file being edited.

What leaves the machine is worth knowing before you install it. A prompt hook sends { request: prompt }, truncated at 24,000 characters, to api.typesafe.ai/v1/systemone — or to Vercel AI Gateway if the key is a gateway key. The edit hook sends only the file’s path, not its contents, and answers are cached per file. The URL is a constant, so you cannot point it at a local model. It fails open: if the call times out (8 s) or errors, every rule it could not judge is included and the prompt proceeds, which is the right default for a tool that only adds context.

MIT, 64 stars. A small, careful plugin; install it knowing that your prompts take one extra trip.

tamaratran/fast-jev-compaction

Claude Code plugin that replaces the compaction summary with Jev decisions. Every tool call and result is scored; stale ones are dropped or truncated, and everything kept stays verbatim.

devagrawal09/jev-review

Staged code-review workflow for JavaScript and TypeScript with a local dashboard. Jev screens correctness, security, reliability, compatibility, and test risk, then scores severity and suggests a reviewer, with no generative model involved.
