★ 110marcreichel/laya-php
Laravel-ready PHP client for Laya, the open System One model, so a typed decision is a PHP enum rather than a parsed sentence. Self-hosted, no Jev key.

A Java 21+ client with no dependencies at all, a module-path test, and 114 passing tests. Small, sober, and it builds first try.

Tested Sep 20, 2026 at 459c28538bb2 · Maven and Temurin 21 in Docker; 110 tests plus a 4-test module-path suite
How we reviewed this: we built it with Maven on Temurin 21 in Docker and ran its tests — 110 in the main suite (one skipped) and 4 in a separate module-path suite, all passing. We made no Jev calls.
typesafe-sdk-java, by kgonia, is a zero-dependency Java client for the System One API. All three question types, a retry policy with its own tests, examples, a changelog — and a separate test-jpms module that verifies the library works on the module path, which is the kind of thing that only gets written by someone who has been bitten by it.
Zero dependencies matters more in Java than in most ecosystems: it means no version conflicts with whatever your service already pulls in.
It’s one star and seven commits old. The build is clean and the tests are real, but you would be among the first users.
Sober, small and properly built. If you need a Java client and don’t want to inherit a dependency tree, this is the one to read.
For the .NET equivalent, see the TypeSafeAI .NET SDK; for the rest, the Community SDKs.
